April 16, 2017

On Sunday, April 16th, Lionville Volunteers were kept busy responding to multiple calls throughout the day.

The day started shortly after 1:30 PM when The Lionville Fire Company was dispatched to the area of Sheree Blvd and Route 113 in Uwchlan Township for a mulch fire. Engine 47-2 responded and crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

As Engine 47-2 was clearing the mulch fire, Uwchlan Ambulance (87) was dispatched to the 300 block of East Uwchlan Ave in Uwchlan Township for a person having trouble breathing, Engine 47-2 responded to provide lifting assistance.

At 2:04 PM, 47 units were dispatched to the 800 block of Dover Court Place in Uwchlan Township for a fire alarm activation. Deputy 47, Engine 47-2, and Engine 47-5 responded. It was determined to be a false activation.

Just as units were clearing from the fire alarm, crews were once again dispatched to a mulch fire on Sheree Blvd. Crews arrived and extinguished the second fire.

Finally at 5:10 PM The Lionville Fire Company was dispatched to the 100 block of Kent Drive in Uwchlan Township for a brush fire. Engine 47-2 arrived and found a 30 x 30 foot area of brush on fire, and crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

Units: Engine 47-2, Engine 47-5, Deputy 47

Mutual Aid: 87 EMS
