I have always been proud that my neighbors Carlos & Mark Martinez volunteer with Lionville, but am especially thankful for every single firefighter and rescue volunteer who came to the aid of my neighbors, the Danese family, yesterday morning when their house was ablaze. As We watched the house burn, through our tears, it was amazing to see how quickly everyone jumped into action to protect the surrounding homes and try to save whatever they could for this family. After the fire was finally out, 3 wonderful firefighters came into our home to be with the Danese family and gave their apologies that they were not able to save the house and asked what precious items the family wanted them to look for in the rubble. An hour later, the firemen brought over slightly charred photographs, including pictures of the couple's kids when they were young and their wedding album to them. Shortly after, the Belfor restoration crew arrived to board up the home and secure a safety fence. The firecompany took care of phone calls to Belfor, PECO and other utilities, sparing the family from having to think about all of those details.
To all the volunteers at 47, you are our truest community heroes!

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Martin Sorenson. He was an awesome person and was one of those people who really lightened up the mood in every situation. There are not enough words to explain, but i am privleged to have known him and to have called him a friend. I would like to send my deepest condolences to the Sorenson family and the Lionville family, he will and will always be dearly missed.
With deepest regrets,
Pete Harmansky

Just watched your video on your 5/29/2010 Marchwood house fire. Excellent execution of attack and fire suppression. This video should be used for training purposes demonstrating how fire fighting is done the correct way.
Watched many online videos from fire departments that show how NOT to fight a house fire.
Great job protecting your community!

Thank you to all the Lionville and Exton firefighters on scene during my recent house fire. I am so grateful for the Station 47 first responders, especially to the firefighter who rescued my 2-year-old yellow lab Misty from her second floor crate. Luckily we are all safe and my home only suffered smoke damage. Misty is fine and after being displaced for only a week, we are all back in our home. If not for my working smoke detectors and the quick thinking of my neighbor who called 911, the outcome would have been totally different. A huge Thank You is in order!!

The web site gets better every time I visit it! Well I have completed my first month of my one year tour overseas on the Coast Guard Cutter Maui, a 110' Patrol Boat patrolling the Arabian Gulf. It will however be made easier knowing that the wife and kids will be in good hands because they have moved back in the area(Lionville-Downingtown) for the year that I am away. As usual keep up the awesome work, and I look forward to stopping by when I come home for a visit.

It is always good to see the station and what it has become. There is not a day that goes by that I dont miss it, and all you guys and girls that i served with. Good luck and keep up the awesome work.
On behalf of East Brandywine Fire Co. and myself I wanted to take a moment and personally thank you for the outstanding effort at the Brandywine Manor House Fire. Your crews effort was outstanding and a big reason why the homeowner has the main house today. I can't thank you enough for braving the fire conditionas and weather conditons to make our firefighting effort easier. Great Job Chief 49
nice site, nice rigs. keep up the good work. good luck, be safe.

Website rocks as well do all the pics of the rigs.
Always going to miss Chester and station 47.
I remember as a young lad I lived to go to the station with my Dad, Raymond (I miss him more and more everyday, thats one loss I am just not getting over).
Would love to be active out here at LanCo4-2 even if only as fire police but with all the damage to my shoulder, neck and back I don't see it happening anytime soon. So I will just kick back and let you boys and girls at station 47 kick butt for me.
