On Tuesday, December 12th, Members of the Lionville Fire Company traveled to the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus, in South Coatesville, to attend the graduation ceremony for Firefighter Thomas Baylis, Andrew Bucklin, and Evan Hogarth.

Thomas, Andrew, and Evan completed the 188 hour “recruit” level basic firefighting course, from the Chester County Department of Emergency Services. The goal of this course is to provide a person, with little or no previous fire service training or experience, with the basic knowledge and skills required to function safely and effectively as a member of a fire suppression team, functioning in today’s environment. During this course, Students also received training in Hazardous Materials, CPR/AED, and Structural Fire Fighting.

The Lionville Fire Company is extremely proud of the accomplishments of Firefighters Baylis, Bucklin, and Hogarth and we wish them well as they continue to serve our community for many years to come!
